   A Filter Change is just like Replacing and old battery.
When the cartridge is new, it works at an optimum level.
Just like a battery, the filter slowly depletes with usage over time.
While it can still function, the cartridge may need to be replaced.
As it gets consumed, the cartridge, just like a battery will need to be replaced with a new one.
